Darrib (دَرّب) is a platform by TIQNIA (Egypt) that gives every teacher an education platform under their own name (the darrab.app website and the Darrib app for Android and iOS). This policy explains what we collect, why, who sees it, and how to delete it.

The teacher owns the relationship with their students and decides the content, prices and who can join; Darrib runs the platform and processes the data on the teacher's behalf and under this policy. We comply with Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020.

• Mobile number — how you sign in (we send a one-time SMS code). There are no passwords.
• Name; school grade and track when the teacher sorts students by grade; parent's phone number if provided; e-mail and profile photo if you add them (optional).
• Learning data: subscriptions, lessons watched and watch time, attendance, exam and homework answers, grades and teacher feedback.
• Voice and photo answers: when you choose to record an answer or photograph your paper for an essay question, it is uploaded for your teacher to mark.
• Transfer receipt images: when you request a subscription by bank/wallet transfer, the receipt photo goes to the teacher's team for review.
• Community content: posts, comments and questions you write, and voice replies to your teacher.
• Device data: a device identifier (Android ID / iOS identifierForVendor), device model, OS version, screen size, time zone and IP address — used for the teacher's optional "one device per student" rule and for security.
• Push token, to deliver notifications through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging.
• Security logs: screenshot attempts on protected screens (exams, videos) are logged and shown to the teacher; important actions in the teacher dashboard are kept in an activity log.

• Microphone — only when you tap to record a voice answer or reply, or speak in a live class after the teacher opens your mic. Live class audio is streamed and not recorded by us.
• Camera — to scan the attendance QR code or photograph an answer or a receipt. Nothing is captured unless you tap.
• Fingerprint / Face — if you turn on the app lock, the check happens on your phone through the operating system. Your biometric data never reaches us. The app-lock PIN is stored encrypted on your phone.
• Notifications — lessons, exams and results. You can turn them off in your phone settings.
• SMS — the app does not read your messages. On Android it uses Google's SMS User Consent API, which shows you only the code message and asks your permission to fill it in.

• To run your account and sign-in and connect you to your teacher's platform and content.
• So the teacher's team can follow students, mark work, take attendance and review subscriptions.
• So parents can follow their children's attendance and grades.
• To protect content against piracy and account sharing (a watermark with your name and number; the one-device rule).
• To send service notifications and messages, provide support, improve the platform and fix bugs.

• No ads in the app. We do not use your data for advertising and we never sell it.
• No advertising trackers. We do not collect your location, contacts or photo library (only the photo you choose to upload).

• The teacher and their team (assistants and accountant, per their permissions) see only their own platform's students. Another teacher on Darrib does not see your data on this teacher's platform.
• Parents see the attendance and grades of the student whose record holds their number, after confirming it with a code.
• Classmates see your name next to the community posts and comments you publish.
• Service providers acting for us, each receiving only what it needs: SMS delivery (Egypt), video streaming (Bunny), live audio (LiveKit), push notifications (Google Firebase), e-mail, cloud hosting and storage, and the payment gateway when a teacher enables it.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes and lock after wrong attempts. Your session is kept in the phone's encrypted storage (Keychain / Keystore). Access to student data is permission-based and logged.

• For as long as your account is active on the platform.
• When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your data within 30 days; backups expire automatically within 90 days.
• Payment and invoice records are kept only for the period required by law and tax rules.
• Sign-in codes are deleted after 10 minutes.

You can edit your name and details in your account page, ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or delete your account.

Most Darrib students are in preparatory and secondary school. A student joins their teacher's platform with a parent's consent; the parent can follow the student with their own number and ask for the student's data to be deleted. The app is not directed at children under 13 on their own, and it has no ads.
